The groom has the key to your heart. And we have the answers to your questions!
Is a retainer required for booking? Can I wait until after my trial?
To secure a date, a non-refundable retainer is required from the client. The retainer will be applied toward scheduled services for the inquired day. Retainer doesn’t apply toward trial. We suggest clients meet for a trial as soon as possible if you would like to have a trial prior to booking.
How does the booking process go?
Once the you provide us with information on the date, service counts, timeline, ceremony location & getting ready location with your best knowledge, we’ll send you a proposal with retainer information for reviewing. Once the retainer is submitted, you’ll receive an updated service confirmation. And we will be in touch for trial scheduling and finalizing the details.
Can you accommodate a large group of party?
Yes. We will form a team of artists and stylists to accommodate a larger group booking. The amount of artists and stylists is provided based on the timeline, service counts and availability.
What type of products do you use?
We use department store or professional artistry brands. Please let your artist know if you have any allergies or sensitivity to any particular ingredients. Feel free to show your artists any specific personal hair and makeup products you would like us to use.
Is a bridal hair and makeup trial necessary? When is the best time to schedule a trial?
A bridal hair and makeup trial is not mandatory but highly recommended. A trial can help you envision the look for your wedding day. And it's also a good time to discuss your options and to try a different look if the initial style isn’t suitable for you. A hair and makeup trial also helps determine if you need any hair accessories, extensions, extra service time or any skin and hair preparation prior to your big day. Schedule a bridal hair and makeup trial at least two months before the wedding date. As the time gets closer to the wedding, it can get very busy.
Do you apply false lashes or put on hair extensions as well?
Our makeup services include skincare preparation and false lash application. Hair services include application of temporary hair extensions or hair pieces that are provided by clients. In rare cases, when extra service time is needed due to the amount of hair extensions or hair pieces, there may be additional charges.
Do you do airbrushing makeup? I heard it last longer, look more natural and have better coverage?
Yes. We do offer airbrush makeup. However airbrush makeup is not suitable for all clients depending on the client’s skin and desired look. There are non-airbrush cosmetics that offer longevity and coverage as well. Our artists are trained to use long lasting products and techniques with or without airbrush to ensure the right coverage, longevity and comfort of wear.
How long does each service take? When should everyone start getting ready?
Each hair or makeup service usually takes about 45 minutes. For more complex styles, it may take up to 60 minutes. Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time for on-location services. A service timeline will be established depending on the photographer’s arrival time, time of first look or ceremony or other personal requests. Commonly, a service timeline is made by the artist and approved by the clients.
How should I prepare for my hair service appointment? Should I wash my hair?
Please arrive at your appointment with dry hair. Wash & dry the hair the day before. Two days before for curly or coarse hair. Avoid showering right before your service time and avoid steam afterwards. For a blow out only hair style, 80% towel or air dry hair works the best. Have a desired style or inspirational photos ready to discuss with your stylist. If you have overly curly hair, exceptionally long or thick hair or have other specific concerns, please let us know in advance.
How should I prepare for my makeup service appointment? Should I put my own skincare on?
Gently exfoliate your skin & hydrate it properly with your daily skincare routine or even add a hydration boost mask prior to your service time. Shape or clean up your brows and other unwanted facial hair. Show us the specific cosmetics you would like to use if any. Avoid showering right before your service time and avoid steam afterwards. Have a desired look or inspirational photos ready to discuss with your artist.
Can you cover up my tattoo, tan line or scar?
Tattoo covering, scar covering, tan line blending or any body makeup applications are considered add-on services. Pricing varies depending on the size of the area and the time needed. Please let us know if you need such service when booking.
What if I have to add or cancel any services?
After the number of services has been established between the client and the artist, any cancellations for services may only be made 60 or more days before the event. If cancellations are made 60 or fewer days before the event, services will still be charged in full on the day of the event. Any additional makeup or hair needs for day-of-service requests, outside the predetermined schedule of services, will only be performed at the discretion of the artist.
